WHO WE ARE

Prescient HR Consulting began its journey in a freelance capacity on 31st July 2020, before formally incorporating on 2nd August 2021 in Singapore.

The name Prescient, taken to mean forward-looking and proactive in guiding outcomes, encapsulates our approach to HR. Amid a constantly evolving work landscape, we support the navigation of HR issues through an informed and comprehensive understanding of people, and the HR function. 

We specialise in supporting organisations with limited in-house HR capability across any industry. As complex HR issues tend to be more incidental than routine, Prescient HR supports organisations more feasibly (and often more effectively) than hiring a permanent employee. We then position you to minimise  recurrence so you can focus on growing your business.

As an aspiring psychologist, I discovered the harmony between psychology and HR in my teens, which inspired me to complete my bachelor's degree in Psychology and Human Resource Management. 

In my desire to help others, I started my career in the social services sector, working with youth-at-risk and ex-offenders. The breadth and depth of the roles cultivated crucial skills in counseling and mediation, and exposed me to several facets of HR, particularly: hiring, the employee life-cycle, career development, and workplace safety.

I then transitioned into more formal HR roles, first supporting a friend's family business with their HR challenges, before coincidentally joining a social service agency as the sole HR employee. It was there that I had vast exposure to the full spectrum of HR, along with the monumental task of formalising the HR function in an organisation that operated without it since its inception decades prior.

Having realised and grown my affinity for solving HR and people problems, I then decided to support more organisations and contribute to the future of workplaces by transitioning into consulting. 

As a HR consultant, I consult broadly across the HR function, with specialisations in the areas of Compliance, HR Policy and Employment Relations.
